Joseph Small, a third grader at Metacomet Elementary School, will be traveling to Dearborn, MI May 30 to compete at the National Invention Convention.
Joseph was one of more than 450 students who competed in a regional student-inventor's competition. The best of those student inventors advanced to the finals, hosted by the National Invention Convention and Engineering Expo (NICEE).
Joseph’s invention, the Lid Lock, is a clear protective covering for hats and visors to keep them clean.
