Visual and Performing Arts in the Bloomfield Public Schools
All-District Art Walk Information
“Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, and flight to the imagination.”
“This world is but a canvas to our imagination.”
~Henry David Thoreau
The Visual and Performing Arts are alive and growing in the Bloomfield Public Schools!
Strolling the halls of schools and Board of Education buildings, you will see self-portraits in oil, three dimensional ceramics, water colors, and students' representational artwork of both informational and literary books. You will hear young children singing selected songs that interface with early reading skills and jazz students showcasing their skills in the Friday Day Club at Bloomfield High School. It is clear that our students are creative and inspired by our talented teachers, who are artists, musicians, photographers, designers, and DJs in their own right. We recognize the crucial role the arts play in our school culture, in our community, and even in shaping how our students learn through our interdisicplinary curriculum.
Please visit our department page often to see what our brilliant students are creating!
