Wintonbury Day of Kindness

What is Wintonbury Day of Kindness?

An annual event started at our school by Ms.Ryan & Mrs.Murphy to honor the victims & loved ones of the Sandy Hook community with the goal of spreading kindness throughout our local community.

The children, along with their teachers, will be doing acts of kindness throughout the day for other children and staff at Wintonbury. We also invite you & your family to participate with us on this day by wearing green & thinking of something kind to do to help make someone’s day a little brighter.

We welcome you to share kindness day with your friends, family, at your other children’s schools and at your place of work.

For more information or if you have any questions you can contact Haley Ryan at

We will be collecting homemade cards, treats, snacks and small denomination gift cards December 10th - 13th during drop off in both the parents drop off and front lobby areas. We will deliver these cards and gifts from the children to spread kindness to people throughout our Bloomfield community including (but not limited to) Police Officers, Firefighters, Postal Workers, Bus Drivers, Town workers or any others you would like us to share your kindness with!

Please check the Wintonbury Facebook page and watch your email for more information and the sign-up link to help!
