On May 2, Bloomfield Public Schools proudly announced the 2025 Teachers of the Year.
These outstanding educators were selected by the staff at their respective schools, recognized by their peers for the passion, dedication, and excellence they demonstrate in their classrooms and school communities each day.

Marissa Mancini – Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School
Melanie Gabel – Laurel Literacy Academy
Anne Pyatt – Metacomet Elementary School
Jeanne Pascon – Carmen Arace Intermediate School
Matthew Bessette – Carmen Arace Middle School
Richard Michaud – Global Experience Magnet School
Lori Doll – Bloomfield High School
Grace Martinez, Executive Director of Talent Management & Community Partnerships, shared: “These remarkable teachers exemplify what it means to inspire, challenge, and support students every step of the way. These honorees will be formally recognized at the district’s annual Education Celebration on May 28, 2025.
