Bloomfield Public Schools

On May 28, 2025, Bloomfield Public Schools proudly celebrated its dedicated staff at the annual Education Celebration. This special event honored colleagues who have dedicated 25, and 35 years of service to the district, alongside our distinguished retirees from the 2024-2025 school year.

A highlight of the celebration was the recognition of seven exceptional teachers nominated by their peers as candidates for Bloomfield Teachers of the Year. After careful deliberation, the selection committee chose one outstanding educator to represent Bloomfield for the prestigious Connecticut Teacher of the Year award. We are thrilled to announce that Richard Michaud from Global Experience Magnet School has been named the 2025 Bloomfield Teacher of the Year — congratulations to Mr. Michaud on this well-deserved honor.

This annual event serves as a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering dedication and commitment of our staff, who continuously contribute to the growth and success of Bloomfield’s students and community.
