Superintendent's Update

Dear Parents, Students, Staff, and Community Members,

I am truly honored and excited to welcome new and returning students and staff to Bloomfield Public Schools for the 2025-2026 school year - my first full year serving as your Superintendent.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, close to 1,770 pre-K to 12 students will eagerly walk through the doors of our seven district schools, ready to begin a year filled with learning, growth, and opportunity.

This year’s theme, “Building Our Legacy, One Student at a Time,” reflects our shared commitment to rebuilding and revitalizing the professional pride that has long guided Bloomfield Public Schools. As we embark on a year focused on strengthening systems, structures, relationships, and teams, we recognize that every student’s growth and achievement contributes to the strength and future of our community.

I feel incredibly fortunate to lead this district at such a pivotal time. With a supportive town, dedicated educators, engaged families, enthusiastic students, rigorous curriculum and a model for continuous growth, I am certain we will see improved results for our students.

Thank you for your continued partnership in ensuring that Bloomfield’s children thrive. Together we are Building Our Legacy, One Student At A Time!

Sincerely,

Dr. Tracy A. Youngberg
Superintendent of Schools
