District Parent Advisory Committee

On Wednesday, October 22nd Dr. Youngberg held the first meeting of the District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC). This group is made up of parent volunteers who are eager to support our district improvement efforts. During this first meeting, Dr. Youngberg began to share her vision of how she would like to engage this group in the work of reimagining our schools. She also provided opportunities for each of these parents to provide their perspective on a number of important topics such as student safety, student achievement, district communication, cell phone use in our schools and school uniforms . This district level group will then be connected to our school based efforts to engage families in the form of our Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) and our Family Nights. A big thank you to our DPAC members for their support of the Bloomfield Public Schools and their willingness to give up their time to be a part of the district’s improvement efforts. This group is scheduled to meet four times this school year, with the next meeting scheduled for January 7, 2026. Go, DPAC!
