This fall, Bloomfield Public Schools students began their career exploration journeys with exciting, hands-on learning opportunities that encourage them to discover new interests, build confidence, and imagine bright futures.
On Monday, October 27th and Friday, October 31st, the School to Career Office proudly hosted Career Cluster Workshops for students from Bloomfield High School and Global Experience Magnet School. Led by Eastern Connecticut State University professors Clifford Marrett and Ashon Avent, scholars dove into the 16 national career clusters, uncovering real career pathways aligned to their passions and strengths.
Students collaborated in groups to research, analyze, and present key facts about each cluster - sharpening leadership, communication, and professionalism skills in the process. From business management to IT, education to engineering, scholars gained a deeper understanding of the career opportunities waiting for them after graduation.
These experiences help students identify who they are, what they love, and how their talents can shape their futures.
The School to Career Office remains committed to equipping students with exposure, knowledge, and real-world preparation. We look forward to building on these opportunities all year long as students continue exploring careers with curiosity and confidence.
Bloomfield scholars are just getting started — and their future possibilities are limitless.
