Metacomet Elementary School celebrated their first Student of the Month Breakfast of the year on Friday, October 24, 2025. These students were selected by their teacher for demonstrating positive behaviors, good attendance, exemplary character and responsibility.
Each month, students are honored at a special breakfast where they receive a personalized certificate and a gold medal to recognize their hard work and dedication. This celebratory event is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Jeffrey Dressler with Dressler Law and Mega Education, a scholastic incentive program that rewards student effort and achievement.
In addition to celebrating outstanding students, Metacomet also recognizes one exceptional staff member as Teacher of the Month. This month, the honor goes to Gail Jorden, who was celebrated for her impactful work on the school’s MTSS Committee. Mrs. Jorden and her colleagues diligently review student data and collaborate with teachers to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.
