Signing Day

Bloomfield High School proudly celebrated four outstanding student-athletes during its annual Student-Athlete Signing Day Ceremony on November 12, 2025. Students, families, faculty, and staff gathered to honor the dedication and achievements of these seniors as they officially signed their commitments to continue their athletic and academic careers at the Division I collegiate level.

Director of Athletics, Allison Borawski opened the event by welcoming the audience and expressing her pride in the accomplishments of the student-athletes, noting that the day recognized “not only incredible athletic accomplishments, but also the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that have brought our student-athletes to this moment.”

The following students were recognized for earning full athletic scholarships:

  • D’Asia Duncan – Track & Field, Texas A&M University

  • Vanessa Agyemang – Track & Field, West Virginia University

  • Janiyah Barclay – Track & Field, Morgan State University

  • Payton Sirdine – Volleyball, University of Alabama at Birmingham

These achievements represent years of commitment to excellence—balancing early morning workouts, long practices, and strong academic performance. Principal White highlighted that their success “reflects the unwavering support of families, coaches, and teammates,” and emphasized the pride the entire Bloomfield community feels in their accomplishments.

Coach Anne Burrows introduced her three track and field signees, sharing reflections on their growth, leadership, and athletic success. Coach Colleen Harrison then introduced Payton Sirdine, marking a historic moment for Bloomfield High School as she became the school’s first-ever Division I volleyball signee.

The ceremony served as both a celebration of achievement and a recognition of the teamwork, discipline, and perseverance that define Bloomfield’s student-athletes.

Congratulations to D’Asia, Vanessa, Janiyah, and Payton on this outstanding accomplishment and the exciting journey ahead.
