Dress for Success

The Bloomfield Public Schools School to Career Office, serving students in grades 7–12, is seeking the community’s support to help Bloomfield High School seniors put their best foot forward as they prepare for an important milestone—their Senior Capstone experience beginning in early 2026.

As part of the Senior Capstone project, all seniors are required to dress in business casual attire for the Senior Capstone Career Expo in April, where they will present their final projects. This professional expectation is a key component of the capstone experience, designed to mirror real-world workplace environments such as interviews, conferences, and formal presentations. Dressing professionally helps students build confidence, develop professional habits, and prepare for life beyond high school.

To ensure all students have access to appropriate attire, the School to Career Office is launching a “Dress for Success” room at Bloomfield High School (Room A114). This space will provide students with access to donated professional clothing, including gently used and cleaned blazers for all genders and accessories such as ties.

Community members are encouraged to consider donating items as they transition their wardrobes for the season. Your contribution can make a meaningful difference by removing barriers and ensuring every student feels confident and prepared during this important academic and professional experience.

Donation Drop-Off Locations:

  • Bloomfield High School Main Office

  • Bloomfield Board of Education Front Foyer

Clearly marked “Dress for Success Donation” boxes will be available at both locations.

The School to Career Office looks forward to seeing the Bloomfield Public Schools community come together to support our seniors as they take this important step toward their future. With your help, we can ensure our students are not only prepared—but professionally presented—for success.
