Key initiatives include:
Warhawk / Hawk Day – February 26: BHS juniors will visit the University of Hartford for a campus experience, including tours, student panels, and interactive activities that introduce students to college life.
Student Major Panels – April 1: University students will visit BHS, GEMS, and CAMS to share insights on academic majors and career pathways, providing authentic peer-to-peer guidance.
Helping Hawks Day – April 10: UHart students will serve at all district schools, supporting projects like classroom activities, gardening, and community service, reinforcing shared commitments to civic engagement.
Through these collaborative efforts, the district and University of Hartford are fostering meaningful experiences that expand students’ horizons, strengthen community ties, and support pathways to success.
