March is Connecticut Board of Education Appreciation Month—a perfect time to recognize and thank our Board of Education members, as well as all the dedicated volunteers who serve the students and families of the Bloomfield community.
At the heart of our educational community are the volunteers who serve on our Board of Education. Their dedication and care drive meaningful change. They support not only the Bloomfield community but, most importantly, our children. Their commitment is a powerful reminder of the impact that service and involvement can have.
People choose to volunteer for many reasons—whether to gain new knowledge, feel a sense of purpose, connect with the community, or live out their values. Regardless of the motivation, research shows that volunteering offers significant personal benefits. As Philip Moeller notes in Why Helping Others Makes Us Happy, volunteering can improve overall health and increase personal happiness.
In honor of Connecticut Board of Education Appreciation Month, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers. Your efforts make Bloomfield stronger, kinder, and more supportive, and your dedication truly makes a difference in the lives of our children.
