At the June 2, 2026, Board of Education meeting, Bloomfield Public Schools proudly recognized twelve outstanding students with the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents (CAPSS) Superintendent’s Award.
For more than thirty-five years, Bloomfield Public Schools has participated in the CAPSS Award Program, an annual initiative that celebrates middle and high school students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, academic achievement, citizenship, and community involvement.
The Superintendent’s Award is presented to students who exemplify the qualities that help strengthen both their schools and the broader community. Recipients are recognized for their academic prowess, positive citizenship, leadership skills, and active participation in community activities. These students serve as outstanding representatives of Bloomfield Public Schools and embody the district’s commitment to excellence.
During the ceremony, Superintendent Dr. Tracy Youngberg honored the award recipients and commended them for their dedication, perseverance, and contributions to their schools and community. The presentations began with remarks from Carmen Arace Intermediate School Principal Diana Bunting, followed by recognition of students from each school.
Bloomfield Public Schools congratulates this year’s Superintendent’s Award recipients and celebrates their accomplishments, leadership, and positive impact on those around them.
