Bloomfield High School students participating in the Young Women & Men Leadership program had an exciting opportunity to attend CAS-CIAC Student Empowerment Day on October 22, 2026.
Hosted annually by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), the event brings together approximately 1,000 middle and high school student leaders from across Connecticut.
Student Empowerment Day is designed to amplify student voices, build self-confidence, foster character development, and equip young leaders with the tools they need to make a positive difference in their schools and communities.
Our students were especially inspired by keynote speaker Ryan Lavarnway, a former Boston Red Sox player, who shared valuable insights on leadership, resilience, and the importance of overcoming challenges.
