Fall fun arrived at Wintonbury Early Childhood Magnet School this week as students enjoyed a special pumpkin-picking experience made possible by the school’s amazing Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)!
The PTO secured approximately 340 pumpkins, delivered fresh from Pickin’ Patch in Avon, and transformed the school’s courtyard into a festive pumpkin patch. Each classroom had a designated time on Monday and Tuesday for students to visit the patch and select their very own pumpkin.
The experience also highlighted a special community connection: the owners of Pickin’ Patch are a former Wintonbury family! Their generosity helped create a memorable fall experience for Wintonbury students while celebrating the strong connections between the school and its community.
Students had the option of bringing their pumpkins home or keeping them in the classroom to explore and learn through hands-on activities.
A heartfelt thank-you to Wintonbury’s PTO and the Pickin’ Patch for helping make this seasonal experience so special for our youngest learners!
