The Bloomfield Public Schools (BPS) School-to-Career Office proudly hosted a Capstone-focused Career Fair at Bloomfield High School on Wednesday, March 18th, providing hundreds of students with meaningful opportunities to explore future career pathways.

Designed primarily for the senior class as part of their Capstone experience, the event was open to the entire student body, allowing broad participation across grade levels. Students engaged directly with a diverse group of professionals, including representatives from local businesses, organizations, higher education institutions, and community leaders.

Throughout the fair, students benefited from hands-on career exploration, networking opportunities, and real-world insights into various industries. Participants were able to connect with professionals, gain exposure to internship and job opportunities, and strengthen essential skills such as resume building and interviewing. The event also helped students better understand educational pathways, clarify their career interests and goals, and build confidence as they prepare for life beyond high school. Access to mentors and professionals provided valuable exposure, especially for students who may not otherwise have such connections.

"This Career Fair exemplifies the power of connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences,” said Lisa Lamenzo, Executive Director of Teaching, Learning and Leadership for Bloomfield Public Schools. “We are deeply grateful to our staff and community partners for their time, expertise, and commitment to our students. By engaging with professionals and exploring diverse pathways, our students are building the skills, confidence, and vision needed to succeed in college, careers, and life beyond high school.”
