CAIS students attended an exciting kickoff rally on Friday to launch our fundraiser sponsored by Apex. Students will be learning about teamwork and leadership for the next two weeks, while participating in schoolwide challenges. The first challenge was to see which homeroom would have the most initial logins over the weekend - Team Lynch leads the pack with 47% of the class logging in! Additionally, Team Springer leads the school with the highest committed donations "per lap" at $4.33 per lap. What a great start CAIS!! Keep it up - let's gooooooooo!! Lesson 1: Are Grateful video: https://youtu.be/3ZwinfzmO8U?si=a6GVC1UjlWC6qtZW Today’s challenge: The “SHARE” Challenge! The classroom with the highest number of shares will get to play outside with silly strings! Please click here for more information: https://5il.co/3bbf2

It was a busy weekend for Bloomfield Warhawks Athletics. Girls Indoor Track & Field won the State Open, claiming their 4th State Open title, and completing a Perfect Season (Conference Champions, Class S Champions (15th in a row), and State Open Champions). A State Open victory means they are the best girls track team in the state regardless of size which is remarkable given we are the smallest school in our conference and one of the smallest in the state. Wrestler, Dorian Pollard finished 5th in the State in the Championship on Saturday and qualified for the State Open next weekend. The Boys Basketball team fell to Northwest Catholic in the quarterfinals of the Central Connecticut Conference Championship. Two of our student athletes, Cayden Smith and Jeffery Acoff, were recognized as All Conference Athletes. They begin the Tier II State Championship next Monday at home.

First Friday Dress Down Days will begin on February 7th. Grade 5 & 6 will be allowed to dress out of uniform every first Friday of the month! The initiative was inspired by a sixth grade student who advocated for students to dress out of uniform. A major shout-out goes to Tressanne S. for submitting a proposal and Kiera G. and Rosalynn M. for collecting signatures to support the cause.
