Senior Parade

On June 12, members of the Bloomfield High School Class of 2026 participated in the district's annual Senior Parade, visiting schools throughout Bloomfield Public Schools to celebrate their upcoming graduation and inspire younger students.

Dressed in their caps and gowns, the seniors walked through the hallways of their former elementary, intermediate and middle schools, where they were welcomed with enthusiastic cheers, applause, and smiles from students and staff. The parade provided a special opportunity for younger students to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class while imagining their own future journeys through Bloomfield Public Schools.

Excitement filled each building as students lined the hallways to greet the seniors. Younger students eagerly waved and cheered as the graduates passed by, creating a joyful atmosphere that highlighted the strong connections across the district.

For many seniors, the parade was a meaningful chance to revisit the schools where their educational journeys began. Graduates were excited to reconnect with former teachers, counselors, and staff members who played an important role in their growth and success. Throughout the morning, there were countless smiles, hugs, tears and conversations as students reflected on the memories and experiences that helped shape them.

"The Senior Parade, now in its second year, is a wonderful way to show the graduating class how proud we are of their accomplishments. At the same time, having the seniors walk through their former schools reminds our younger students what they have to look forward to and shows our staff members how much their commitment to our students really matters,” said Superintendent Dr. Tracy Youngberg. “It is a perfect way to help the district to see how we are all working toward the same goal and the tears, laughter and hugs are all proof of just how much it means to everyone!”

Bloomfield Public Schools congratulates the Class of 2026 and looks forward to celebrating their graduation on June 16 as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives.
