We are proud to celebrate BHS student Iyanla Dorman and faculty member Lisa Clayton, who represented Bloomfield Public Schools at an international performance arts intensive in Chaumont, France!
Iyanla joined approximately 50 performers from across the country for two weeks of intensive training, master classes, and performances. As the youngest singer in the program, she was also one of just eight students selected to perform in a special concert curated by Broadway star Avery Wilson and performed with the Jazz Ensemble.

We kicked off the 2026–2027 school year with an energetic “Back to the ’70s” Annual Convocation at Bloomfield High School on Monday, August 24! From ’70s music and dancing to an inspiring message from 2026 Teacher of the Year Jen Coleman and a fabulous costume contest, our staff brought the energy!
The theme was more than just fun—it represents our commitment to working toward a score in the 70s on the state accountability index and, most importantly, continuing to grow and improve outcomes for our students.
Following Convocation, staff engaged in professional development to prepare for an amazing year ahead. Planting Seeds. Inspiring Growth. Cultivating Excellence.

This outstanding honor recognizes Coach Burrows' exceptional leadership, dedication to our student-athletes, and the tremendous success of our girls' track & field program. It is also a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and teamwork displayed by our athletes, assistant coaches, families, and school community throughout the season.

Halfway Through Summer- There's Still Time to Read!
We're at the halfway point of Bloomfield's 2026 Summer Reading Program, and there's still plenty of time for students and families to join the fun!
Whether you've already been reading all summer or are just getting started, it's not too late to participate. This year's theme, "Plant a Seed! Read!", encourages readers of all ages to explore new stories, grow their imagination, and keep learning all summer long.

On June 12, members of the Bloomfield High School Class of 2026 took part in the annual Senior Parade, visiting schools across the district and inspiring the next generation of Bloomfield students.
From excited cheers in the hallways to heartfelt reunions with former teachers, the day was filled with pride, memories, and celebration as seniors reflected on how far they have come before graduation on June 16.
