
Midterm Exams will begin this week at BHS on Tuesday, January 23rd and run through Friday, January 26th. Exams will count as 10% of a student's grade in a full year course and 20% of a student's grade in a semester course. All exams will be 1 hour and 30 minutes in length and students are required to attend school only for those sessions in which they have exams. Exams will run from 7:45 - 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. The cafeteria will serve refreshments on exam days. Buses will only have one bus run in the morning, using the regular bus routes at their regular times. Late buses will run for dismissal after both the 1st and 2nd exams.

Congratulations to BHS' Varsity Girls Track Team for winning the Yale Cup on Friday night at the Yale Track Classic. The girls scored 18 points by winning the 4x2 Relay (Saphyr Brown, Indya Norman, Dream Wilson, Nacquelia Fletcher) and placing second in the 4x4 Relay (Jahniya Barclay, Soleigh Dixon, Sianna Lloyd, Kiylah Williams) to win the Yale Cup.


Congratulations to Davien and Davion Kerr for being named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation 2023 All Connecticut High School Team. The boys will be honored at the annual Walter Camp Breakfast of Champions on Saturday, March 16th. Davien was named to the first team offense as a wide receiver and Davion was named to the first team defense as defensive back. Congratulations, Davien and Davion!


Congratulations to BHS' Varsity Girls Basketball Team on their 42-21 victory on Friday over Hartford Public! Come out and support the girls as they take on East Hartford at 1:00 p.m. at home, tomorrow, Monday, January 15th.


Bloomfield Social & Youth Services will be hosting a workshop on Human Trafficking on Thursday, January 18th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at 330 Park Avenue. This is a workshop for parents and guardians.


Congratulations to Davien and Davion Kerr for being named to The 91st Annual New Haven Register All-State Football Team for Defense. Davien was named to the team as a linebacker and Davion was named as a Defensive Back. Congratulations, Davien and Davion!

The BHS PTO in collaboration with Administration, Faculty, Staff and Students of BHS shall work to support and contribute to the positive academic and social experience for our students. Congratulations to BHS' Girls 4x2 Relay of Saphyr Brown, Jahniya Barclay, Nacquelia Fletcher and Sianna Lloyd who set the meet record at the Boston Holiday Challenge at The New Balance Track in Boston on December 27th with a time of 1:43.98.



On Friday, December 22nd, Bloomfield High School hosted a ceremony prior to the start of their varsity boys' basketball game vs Wethersfield High School in recognition of renaming the gymnasium to the Donald F. Harris Jr. Gymnasium in honor of Mr. Donald F. Harris Jr. Thank you to everyone that attended. It was a special and well-deserved evening for Mr. Harris, following his retirement as Chair of the Bloomfield Board of Education.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Basketball Team on their 68-54 victory over Newington High School last night. The boys home season opener will take place this Friday at 6:30 p.m. when the boys take on Wethersfield High School.


Congratulations to the boys' basketball team on their win over WCA this past Saturday, in a rematch of last year's championship game. The boys defeated WCA 63-61 in the GHPA Spirit of the Doc at Trinity College. Co-MVP's of the game were Cayden Smith and Jeffery Acoff. Davien Kerr was the top scorer with 23 points.
