
Final auditions for BHS' production of The Wiz will take place on Thursday, January 30th in the BHS Auditorium. All interested students should sign up for an audition spot via The Musical Google Classroom or stop by the music room and see Miss. Clayton.


The Bloomfield Public Library recently held a Young Author Talk with BHS graduates Ethan Morander and Jonathan Garcia-Rodrigues on their new book, Blue Lands Black Hearts. Yesterday, BHS students were able to participate in an informational session on the sheet metal profession. This is just one of many trades professionals that have visited BHS this year to help students interested explore the different trades available to them.


Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Co-Op Team on their win last night over Parish Hill, 46-20! The girls are currently ranked 6th in Class M and are headed to the state playoffs! The girls will take on Coventry tonight at Coventry High School at 6:00 p.m.


Report Cards for Semester 1 will be available in your PowerSchool Parent Portal on Thursday.

Congratulations to BHS Senior Jeffery Acoff who scored his 1,000th point last night in BHS' 75-58 victory over Hall High School! The boys will take on Avon at Avon High School on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. The boys are currently ranked #1 in the CCC and #3 in Division III.


This is just a reminder to all parents that this Wednesday, January 29th is an early dismissal day for Teacher Professional Development. All students will be released at 12:15 p.m. on this day.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity Track Teams on winning the Old Saybrook Indoor Track Qualifier last Thursday! The boys outscored Ledyard, 75-72.5 and the girls outscored Ledyard, 84.67-60. The teams will compete in the CCC Conference Championship this Saturday at Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball Co-Op Team on their victory over Bolton High School last Friday, 54-22. The girls will take on Parish Hill tonight at Parish Hill High School at 6:00 p.m.


Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team on their 102-69 victory over Middletown High School last Friday. Senior, Cayden Smith scored his 1,000th Career Point during the game. Congratulations, Cayden! The boys will take on Hall High School tonight at 6:30 p.m. at home.



On January 29th and 30th students will be taking a Horizon benchmark assessment in their English and Math classrooms. This assessment is aligned to the PSAT/SAT and allows the district and school to utilize the data to help inform curriculum, instruction and assessment. It is a great predictor of future success on the SAT's.
Students are reminded to bring a charged laptop to class, be on time and to try their best!

BHS Senior, Taylor Jackson is currently a member of the Human Rights Close to Home Youth Advisory Team through The Dodd Center for Human Rights at The University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. Recently, students from BHS' UCONN ECE Human Rights Course participated in The Human Rights Close to Home Youth Summit held at The University of Connecticut, a one day summit where high school students, activists, and allies from around Connecticut learned to mobilize as a community.


BHS Junior, Dorian Pollard-Betsey, a heavyweight wrestler for BHS' Co-Op Team with East Windsor and Weaver, recently won both of his matches. One match was decided 19-4 and the other was by pin. Congratulations, Dorian!
