The brand new Extreme Artists Graphic Novel Club is a joint offering between CAIS and the Bloomfield Public Library. Students will be exploring their creativity this year through the medium of comics and graphic novels, and will be looking at ways to showcase their work to the public. We'll also be hosting guest speakers, discussing our favorite books, sharing our art, and collaborating on projects.

Report Cards for the first marking period are available within the Parent Portal. Log into a web browser version of PowerSchool (not the app) to view the report.
To do this, click on the “Student Reports” on the left-hand side (see icon attached).

We have been made aware of racist and derogatory text messages that have been sent to Bloomfield students and community members. It is our understanding that individuals across the country have received these hateful messages, and the Town of Bloomfield and the Bloomfield Board of Education stand united in condemning any and all forms of racism, prejudice, or hate within our community. We are deeply disturbed by the recent remarks involving this racially offensive language, which violates the core values of respect, inclusion, and equality that we hold as a town and school district.
Racist language, behavior, and rhetoric have no place in Bloomfield, and we are committed to ensuring that every member of our community feels safe, valued, and respected.
In conjunction with the Bloomfield Police Department, we are actively responding to these incidents and will work with local, state, and federal authorities to assist in their investigation.
SOAR students had fun with collaborative problem solving while trying to “Breakout” with BreakoutEDU! They had to analyze clues to open each lock of the “Save Our Shelters” Halloween-themed puzzle.

Dear CAIS Families,
This fall, the CAIS/CAMS Nurses will be performing hearing screenings and postural screenings in the Health/Nurse Office. The Lions Club will be doing our vision screenings this year.
The Lions Club has been performing vision screenings in some of our district schools for years, and will be coming November 6th and 7th for our Carmen Arace students.
