
Hello CAIS Families! We are holding Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday 10/30, Thursday 10/31, and Friday 11/1. These three days are early release days and students will be dismissed at 12:45 pm. Please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher if you have not yet scheduled a time to meet.


~ Arace Veterans Day Celebration ~
The Arace community will honor Veteran family members during our November 11th Veterans Day celebration.

The Drama Club meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday, October 22nd. If your child is interested in participating in Drama Club our first meeting will be Tuesday, October 22nd from 2:50 – 4:05 pm in the auditorium. All 5th and 6th grade students interested in drama club must return a signed permission slip in order to attend the meeting after school on Tuesday, October 22nd. The Dream Big! Competition is an exciting program offered by Connecticut’s Office of the Treasurer. The competition is designed to help Connecticut families build better futures by giving them the opportunity to win money for higher education. This year’s competition features three grand prizes of $20,000 and more.
Students submit a drawing, written essay, video, or painting based on this year's topic for grades 5-8: "What is a lesson you've learned and how will it influence your future?"

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Carmen Arace Intermediate School and Middle School and STEPS to Success will be hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month Community Celebration on October 10th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
We have partnered with community organizations to make this a special evening. Cultural food and activities will be provided. We are really looking forward to this event and celebrating as a community!
