Starting Monday we will officially begin the Great Kindness Challenge. All week we will discuss and show acts of kindness in our school community. Encourage your child to complete some of the acts of kindness on the checklist sent via email. The Spirit Week schedule is also attached. Have a great evening.

Registration is now open for young girls in grades 2-5 to participate in the Mini-SunBeams Group. Wednesday, January 10th Metacomet is scheduled to have an early dismissal day for professional development. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM. Please contact our office if you will need to make alternate arrangements for dismissal at 860-286-2660.
Join us for a special book series that promotes turning obstacles into opportunities. Students who register will receive a copy of the book read aloud. This four-book series will be held each Thursday in February at Metacomet from 6 to 7 PM. Pizza will be served. Parents must register no later than January 25.
Welcome back, Metacomet families! We are excited to see our students return with smiles and ready to learn!
Here are a few gentle reminders:
-Be sure your child has their outdoor gear. This includes gloves, a scarf, a hat, and a coat.
- Students will have accidents from time to time. Send an extra set of clothes for your child in the event there is an accident.
- Students are considered tardy after 9:00 am and are required to have a late pass to class.
- Contact the school office to report absences at 860-286-2660.
