The town of Bloomfield's 2nd Annual National Night Out was a fantastic community outing. Backpack give aways, popcorn, hotdogs, ice cream, music, dunk tanks, splash pads and swimming!!! It was awesome to see the friendly faces and meet the people that help to make our community so great. Special thank you to the student workers that assisted with setup and breakdown. Can't wait for next year!!! Well done!

The S.T.E.A.M. Expo at Laurel Literacy Academy was a successful showing of the hard work of our students and community partners. Over 60 of our families attended and were impressed with the academic enrichment activities that were engaging our students during the afterschool program. Thank you to Stacy Wylie- Arthur, Tamika Lipscomb, Auer Farm, Bloomfield Extension and Creativista for a successful year of programming.

The fabulous Shander George and Laura Hasse were among those honored at the Hope Seventh-Day Adventist Church Community Day. These former and current Bloomfield Public School employees go above and beyond for our students and parents everyday. Shander works tirelessly in our Family Resource Center and always with a smile and warm greeting. Ms. Hasse holds it down in our Extension program. They have been a part of the fabric of our community for many years and we are pleased to see them get their shine. When you see them congratulate and thank them for their continued contribution to the Bloomfield Community.

Congratulations to all our 2023-2024 Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendent's (CAPSS) Student Award Recipients!

Members of the Bloomfield Public Schools Science of Reading Master Class team stepped up to the plate to present their work to the Board of Education Curriculum Committee. The team will be presenting to the Connecticut State Department of Education next month on their work.

This week students will have the opportunity to take a tour of the new schools that they will transition to in the fall. Principals and staff members will welcome students, answer questions and manage expectations for the next school. Please be sure to ask your child about their visit and look for communication from your child's school about opportunities for you as a parent to learn more.

Today is the perfect day for ice cream! ☀️ 🍦 Violet and Xanya used forms to get the order just right 😋 Stay cool everyone!

Standing room only at Metacomet's "An Evening in the Arts: Art Show and Concert"! 🌟Thank you to Mr. McCarthy and Ms. Neag for organizing this event showcasing our talented students. 🎶🎨

Building together through STEAM
We pet ferrets, held snakes, built and tested bridges, raced cars, created works of art with 3-D pens, and masterfully put together pinball machines. The STEAM Night sponsored by the Children's Museum of Science and The Bloomfield Public Library was hugely successful. Thank you to students and parents from Metacomet, CAIS and CAMS for their engagement and to Principal Williams, Dr. Ellis, Viviene Walker and Nicole Dolat for a great night.

What an extraordinary networking opportunity at Friday Cafe?! With site coordinator at Stacy Wylie-Arthur, and other family facing professionals we reviewed and discussed key components of Family-School Partnerships. The discussion and atmosphere was fueling and affirming. Thank you. Happy that Bloomfield Public Schools could be that to celebrate 10 years of Friday Cafe
