Tonight is Disney Night at BHS! BHS' Chorus will be putting on a Disney themed concert tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium! Come out and enjoy the vocal talents of our chorus as they perform the soundtracks from your favorite Disney movies.
BHS will be hosting a Unified Track Meet today at BHS at 3:45 p.m. We are excited to welcome numerous Unified Sports Programs from across the state to BHS for a great afternoon of competition and fun! This is a must see event and we hope that everyone will come out and enjoy in the fun and cheer our student-athletes on!
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Softball Team on their victory over Hartford Public this past Friday! The girls had a double header and after losing the first game 3-9, the girls battled back to win the second game 7-3. The girls are back in action today at home vs University/Classical at 3:45 p.m. Please come out and support!

Congratulations to the boys track team on their top performances this weekend at the Glenn D. Loucks Games in New York! Top finishers for the boys were: Ja'Mari Manson - 1st place in the High Jump, the 4x4 Relay of Zachary Blackwood, Jahiem Lawrence, Ja'Mari Manson and Sergio Rose Jr. finished 2nd in the Nick Panaro division, and Khile Francis finished 5th in the Shot Put and Discus. Congratulations to the Freshman and Sophomores of the girls track team who competed in the Froshmore Championships this past weekend! The girls brought home many PR's and medals for the Warhawks. Top finishers for the girls were: The 4x1 relay of Asa Ettienne-Modeste, April Nathaniel, Kiersten Golding and Leaghana Walker placed 1st, Mya Wilson placed 4th in the Shot Put, Leaghana Walker placed 2nd in the 100 Meters, Leilani Walker placed 3rd in the 400 Meters, and April Nathaniel placed 2nd in the 200 Meters and 6th in the 400 Meters. BHS' Boys Soccer Team will be a hosting its 2nd Annual Alumni Game on Friday, June 6th at 6:00 p.m. All alumni from both the boys and girls soccer teams are invited to play in this years game. Alumni T-Shirts will be sold for $20.
Last Thursday, BHS' State Championship Football and Girls and Boys Track Teams were honored at the State Capitol by State Representative Bobby Gibson! Thank you Representative Gibson for having our young men and women to the Capitol to be honored. Each student-athlete received a citation to commemorate their achievement.
Last night the BHS Music Department put on a tremendous concert at BHS! it was great to see our chorus and band perform for the BHS community! The chorus will be performing a Disney Concert this upcoming Monday, May 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the BHS Auditorium. Please come out and support these vocally talented young men and women! Congratulations to our 2023 Class 'S' State Football Champions! The boys received their championship rings last Thursday in a ceremony at the school. In the afternoon, the boys football team and girls and boys indoor track teams were honored at the state capitol for their Class 'S' State Championship wins this year. Congratulations to all of our Warhawk Champions!

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Co-Op Softball Team of BHS and Aerospace! The team has made the state playoffs for the first time in school history! The girls have been on a winning streak, winning their last five games! They defeated the following schools in the past two weeks: HMTCA 19-1, Bulkeley 18-1, Weaver 15-6, Academy of International Studies 17-16, and Weaver 20-8. The girls are back in action today against Innovation at Chelsey Park in New Britain. Go Warhawks!

Congratulations to the Boys Baseball Team who had a very successful week last week! On Wednesday, May 1st the boys had a double header vs Parish Hill in which they defeated them in the first game, 22-0 and in the second game, 16-1. Freshman Breydon Evans hit an inside the park home run in the second scoring three, walked in the first scoring one, and singled in the third scoring one. The boys also defeated Innovation on Friday, May 3rd, 4-2. The team is 9-2 for the season and will be in the playoffs for the second season in a row.
