BHS' Donald F. Harris Sr. Agriscience & Technology Center is having their annual holiday sale. The center will be selling: wreaths, poinsettias, centerpieces, swags, and kissing balls with different styles available of each. Students in the UCONN ECE Floral Art class have created designs to enhance your holiday season and the students in the UCONN ECE Horticulture class have done an excellent job growing this year's poinsettia crop. Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28th, the BHS Warhawks will take on the co-op of Morgan, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook (MSW) at home at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the Class 'S' State Football Tournament. The BHS Guidance Department will be hosting a Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the BHS Library Media Center. Katherine Presutti, Director of Student Financial Aid for the University of Hartford, will be giving a presentation about financial aid. She will explain how to apply for financial aid and the forms of financial aid available to students. All seniors (and their families) who are planning to attend a 4-year college, two-year college, community college, or trade school should be in attendance.

On Thursday, November 16th, BHS held an Honor Roll Ceremony for all students that achieved High Honors or Honors for Quarter 1. There were 215 students honored at the event for making Honor Roll and an additional 15 students were honor for Perfect Attendance during Quarter 1.


Another successful Food Drive for the district. Buses at all seven schools were stuffed with non-perishable food items and delivered to the Bloomfield Food Bank yesterday. Thanks to all for your generous spirit. Happy Thanksgiving!

Bloomfield High School's FFA Leadership Team and Harris Agriscience Center Director Jaunice Edwards-Hassan traveled to Indianapolis recently for the 96th National FFA Convention & Expo. The convention focuses on growing the next generation of leaders. During this event, FFA members learn how they can influence world with their gifts and talents


Eight Carmen Arace Middle School students are experiencing the fields of science and laboratory medicine through a novel 10-week after-school partnership with the Center for DNA-Guided Medicine in Hartford.


Friendly Reminder: District's holiday Stuff the Bus Food Drive, to support Bloomfield Food Bank, ends today. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at any of our schools this morning. Buses will be located at each school site. At noon, the final collection site will be the town's community center, 330 Park Ave.


Eight Carmen Arace Middle School students are experiencing the fields of science and laboratory medicine through a novel 10-week after-school partnership with the Center for DNA-Guided Medicine in Hartford.
The Center’s Director of Educational Programs Dr. Mohan Kocheria, and colleagues, have been overseeing the session. The goal of CAMS Youth Academy after-program’s goal is to expose students to careers in science, laboratory medicine and research. The sessions engage students with a hybrid approach to learning, combining classroom instruction and laboratory-activity.
This year’s weekly sessions end in mid-December and will start again in January of 2024.
