The College Board has recognized five Bloomfield High School students for their academic prowess on standardized tests and in the classroom.
The Board's National Recognition Program identifies high-achieving sophomores and juniors from underserved communities across the country. It is an accomplishment viewed favorably by colleges and universities when receiving college applications.
In addition to highlighting that a student has done well on standardized testing, the Board’s recognition also indicates the student carries a grade-point average of at-least 3.5 at their school. Congratulations to the following BHS students: Angel Calderon Austin Davis Charles Fennell Jaida Foster Sergio Rose Jr.

Dismissal time at BHS today is 1:16 p.m. Students at BHS will be starting Leadership Lab today, a program that will take place the 3rd Wednesday of every month. We look forward to exploring the leadership qualities of all of our students.

BHS Alum, Jovan Huff was recently profiled on Fox 61 News during National Black Business Month for his FoodTrap Food Truck. If you were at the Bloomfield vs Hartford Public Football Game, Jovan was there serving up his take on Hot Dogs and Burgers to the many fans. Congratulations, Jovan! The food is amazing!

This Wednesday, September 20th, all BHS students will begin Leadership Lab, a 30 minute, once a month commitment to leadership. BHS is proud to have partnered with the Leader in Me Leadership School in committing all of our students in taking an active role in being a leader. School will dismiss at 1:16 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month to accommodate the extra 30 minutes for this program.

Congratulations to Senior, Davion Kerr who was named Player of the Game for the 2nd week in a row by Gametime CT. Davion scored three touchdowns in the game against South Windsor. He also had 124 all purpose yards from two receptions and five carries. 🏈
