Tomorrow, we will come together to celebrate our Grade 4 scholars for their outstanding achievement in completing the school year and advancing to Grade 5. To honor their success, we will gather at 10:30 a.m. for the commencement of the ceremony.
Please be aware that latex balloons are not allowed on school grounds due to student allergies; however, Mylar balloons are a suitable alternative. We thank you in advance.
PS: Bring a chair or blanket and bug spray to relax and enjoy the ceremony.
Rain is not expected at the time of our ceremony; however, if it does rain, the following schedule will be held indoors:

Friendly Reminders to Metacomet families:
*The MES Family Picnic will be held today from 6:00-7:30 PM. Dinner is $5 per person. This includes a hot dog OR hamburger, water, and chips. Bring a chair or blanket to relax.
*Students may dress down to school beginning Friday, June 6. Students do not pay for dress-down beginning Friday, June 6.
*Grade 4 Step Up Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 6, at 10:30. Bring a chair or blanket to relax. Dismissal from the ceremony will be held near the playscape.
*The last day of STEAM Extended Learning is Friday, June 6.
*All students are expected to be present in school after Friday, June 6.
*The last day of school is Thursday, June 12, and is an early release day.
*Students will be dismissed at 1:25 pm on 06/12.

Field Day for Metacomet staff and students will be on Thursday, June 5th, during the school day. Parents are expected to apply sunscreen on their child before arriving at school, as the nurse, staff, and teachers are not permitted to apply sunscreen on students. Students should wear and/or bring sneakers, a water bottle, and sunscreen.
The Family Picnic for Metacomet staff and students will also be on Thursday, June 5th, starting at 6:00 PM. Dinner is $5 per person. The dinner fee is paid at the event.
