CHET is the Connecticut Higher Education Trust 529 College Savings Program. Connecticut State Treasurer Erick Russell is Trustee of CHET. This month's Metacomet Community Forum will be held on Friday, May 30th at 2:00 pm. The previous Parent Schedule of Events was originally scheduled on May 23.

Due to the town voting on Wednesday, May 28, the Metacomet Bird Song Concert & Art Show is now on Thursday, May 29. Students whose work has been selected and those in the choir should attend on Thursday. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Hello Metacomet families! Families interested in the STEAM into Summer program must register by May 23, 2025. The program will begin on June 16 through August 1. Operating hours are 8:30-3:00 PM, with extended hours available for an additional fee. Transportation will not be provided, and the weekly fee is $125. To register, contact Ms. Johnson at kjohnson@blmfld.org.

Hello , Metacomet parents. I am calling to let you know that our grass was cut yesterday and I went outside to inspect the grass for ticks. I did not see any and allowed the students to go outside. After two students came inside with ticks on them, I canceled recess. We will have indoor recess tomorrow . I am sorry for this problem.

Good evening, parents. Please call our school before 2:00 pm if you are planning to change dismissal plans and have your child picked up or take the school bus. We are getting a large volume dismissal changes at the last minute as students are boarding buses. We want to make sure all of our children arrive home safely. Thank you!

Bloomfield Public Schools has been busy all week showing all of our staff members just how much we appreciate everything they do on behalf of Bloomfield students. We chose the week of May 5th-9th because it's National Teacher Appreciation Week! If you see one of our teachers, or any of the supporting staff members that make our schools and district great, please thank them for all they do!

Hello, Metacomet Families. Today, Wednesday, May 7, we noticed that some of our students came in from recess with ticks on them. We will have our students stay inside for recess for the rest of the week. We have alerted our facilities department and they will work on getting the grass cut and plans to eliminate the ticks. I will make sure that our students will not go outside in the fields until the tick problem is resolved. I am sorry for this problem.

Good evening, Metacomet Families. As you are aware, Metacomet was closed on Friday, March 7 due to a power outage. The district has determined that our make up day will be on Wednesday, May 21. This will be an early release day and students will be dismissed at 1:25 pm. Thank you!
